Doctor's Appointment

Went to the doctor's today, first appt. without Chad, but I lived. It was quick! I spent maybe 2 minutes with the doctor. HEard the heartbeat - it was 148 today. Higher than it has been lately!

Here's the baby quilt that I'm working on. I'm planning and girl and a boy version, so that I have what I need, and a gift for someone else :-)

Quiet Week for me...

With Chad in Switzerland for the week, it's pretty quiet around here. Just me and a cat. She doesn't talk much, but I take care of it for her :-) Here is my lastest belly pic, at 29 weeks.

Tomorrow I go to the doc for my first appointment without Chad. Yikes!! Here is a little art project I did tonight, mostly for Chad's benefit!

A Fun Weekend

Chad left for Switzerland on Saturday. All week I told him "Don't go!!", but he left anyway. But I was busy, because...Mom and Aunt Judy came to visit this weekend. We shopped until we dropped last night, and then some. I got some cute little onesies from the Carter's store at Gurnee Mills. Then we had a yummy snack and I had a shake at Steak n Shake (yay!!!). Today, we spent WAY too long at JoAnn and DSW.

Rummage sale!!

We went to a humongous (their words) rummage sale yesterday. While many of the items were not what I was looking for, we struck gold at the end! I found some maternity clothes that didn't require me to declare bankruptcy! And finally, an Arm's Reach Co-Sleeper for $25! We put it together, and it looks brand new - there is no sign that it was even used. Can't beat that!

Prepared?

Today we took our first pre-kid class. Just a quick overview of the hospital and what to do in the upcoming weeks. We also took a tour of the delivery rooms, etc....Makes us feel a little better about what is coming up!

Signs of Spring

Finally...there are signs that spring is here. The kids at school are wearing completely inappropriate clothing, the robins are out, and the daffodils are blooming! Here is some photographic proof:
